Bircher Muesli Recipe – Easy, Healthy and Perfect for the Whole Family

I’ve recently started using this recipe to try and get a little bit more fruit into my diet. Also, in a morning Charlotte is keen to have her breakfast as soon as possible therefore this recipe is great as it pretty much fully prepared the night before. Bircher Museli is a brilliant way to start the day as it contains so much goodness and is really filling too.

Ingredients – Makes 2 to 3 good size portions

2 x cups of porridge oats

2 or 3 cups of any milk (I used whole milk)

1 or 2 tbsp of sultanas

1 tbsp of honey

1 grated apple (use a normal grater otherwise the apple will become mushy )

Method –

Put all of the ingredients in a bowl apart from the apple and mix together. Put in the fridge overnight.

Make sure you put cling film over the apple or it will go brown, if you prefer you could leave this bit until the morning.

In the morning, take the muesli and apple out of the fridge. Mix in the apple and stir.
